Bárbara Augusto (Porto, 1997) is a Portuguese photographer whose path has been shaped through experimentation and change. After exploring different academic fields, she found in photography the medium through which she most closely identifies herself. She studied at Ar.Co in Lisbon (2019–2021) before continuing her training at IPCI in Porto, where she later completed a Master’s in Artistic Photography (2024–2025). Alongside her studies, her professional experience allowed her to deepen both the technical and conceptual dimensions of her practice. Her work is grounded in a strong authorial and self-critical approach that continues to shape her artistic development.
